Viewing protest 31 to 60.
Richard
It's a totally NUTS decision. Another supermarket to gladden the eye of the visitor off to see Loch Ness. Just what is needed to improve the ambience of Inverness!

I've read the protests in this petition and agree with them all. Where do all the backhanders go to??? Enough is enough we don't need any more TESCOS, We need competition especially from those companies dedicated to animal welfare and that is certainly not TESCOS. I won't shop at them again, ever!

Tesco strives to be a monopoly - and often takes legal action against fair and balanced opinions - in The Guardian, e.g. Fear prevents fair comment.
23 October 2008 - Station Road, Urquhart

Gillian Smellie
I want a CHOICE and I want that choice to be fair. Tesco offers no choice and has thrown out any concept of equality or fairness.

A protest needs to be arranged to educate the people of Inverness what TescoTown really means. We need to be heard!
21 July 2008 - Inverness

tesco has become to big for its own good. There is a far more sinister side to this company with its rfid chips that will do more than spy on you. KEEP THEM OUT OF INVERNESS
20 July 2008 - the ave. largs

Hamish
No more tesco's. myself and betty refuse to be subjected to the white sock that is tesco. Time for an asda.

i OBJECT TO ALL NATIONAL SUPERMARKETS. THEY DO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THE LOCAL ECONOMY, PROFITS GO DOWN SOUTH, LOCAL SHOP OWNERS AND GROWERS SUFFER, THEY HAVE SUBSTANTIAL CARBON FOOTPRINTS. THE DESIRE FOR AN ASDA OR ANY OTHER SUPERMARKET IS MOTIVATED BY GREED AND WITH NO CONSIDERATION FOR THE LOCAL ECONOMY.
17 June 2008 - INVERNESS

I'm in support of your petition, Tesco is the largest supermarket in our town and the alternative choice is a High Street Co-op or Aldi. We are in a developing area with the introduction of a major transport link and the area is ideal for supermarkets such as Morrisons or Sainsbury. Check us out

tesco is taking over. they aren't required in every town. protect the high street.
8 February 2008 - waringstown, n.ireland

It's a disgrace that a council that is supposed to be for the people is so much against them. I can no longer stand Tesco town but what other choice do i have? Asda, Asda, Asda. that's what i want!
4 February 2008

Mike Thomas
Despite two seperate and well signed local petitions, Tesco has successfully appealed to site a 'Tesco Express' in Pontyclun, S. Wales even though what Tesco are offering is already available in the village, and if a private individual had applied for the same planning permission it would have been refused by the council. By the way, Tesco has an 'Extra' store about 1.5 miles away!
22 January 2008 - Pontyclun

Christian
can't believe some folk want one supermarket over another. they ALL kill our towns and no company should have such a monopoly out of principle.
12 January 2008 - Peterhead

steven
The people of inverness need to make a stand against this supermarket, superpower. the councillers of inverness are all in tescos pocket. Which dosent suprise me one bit. When have they ever NOT been in it for themselves. We cannot rely on these individuals to be the peoples voice. SO STAND UP TO every little helps and FIGHT them all the way.
