 When will the council wake up and realise that the people of Inverness would wellcome some competition. ASDA would be great in Inverness. Competition at last for TESCO.

So the Tesco monopoly is set to continue in Inverness. For Tesco to have four stores is far too many. Is the Highland Council still in bed with Tesco's to allow this? Why does Asda keep on being rejected while Tesco seem to get everything they want in our city. I say no to another Tesco store, but support the request for Asda to build a store in Inverness. Surely this will bring heathly competition instead of the Tesco strangle hold.

I think that we should build no more Tescos in Scotland, and certainly not in Tesco towns like Inverness and Perth. Bring in Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, and Booths!

Its just insane to see 3 tesco's in Inverness and 1 morrisons and this talk about getting a 4th Tesco its absaloutely unbeleavble wheres Asda and sainsburys , I hope Asda get the go ahead to come in Inverness because if it doesnt Im gonna be sick, Come on highland council for once listen to the people of Inverness I blame the council for the amount of tesco and the lack of supermarket choice. A fast grown city needs choice

How many Tesco stores does one City need to the exclusion of any other chain ? Collusion ? Backhanders ? Free groceries for life ? what is it that Inverness Councillors get that gives the go ahead for Tesco store after Tesco store but rejects competition to Tesco and choice for the people ? It is not just the local folk who bring money into Inverness and rely on getting some kind of choice about. If 'You pays yer money you gets yer choice' normally, not in the Highlands though where rent and council tax pays councils to restrict the choice available to the electorate.
